We have recently had the pleasure of creating a website for an exciting new event to mark in you calendars. Ciclovia Belfast 2015 is a truly unique event for the city and a welcome edition to the calendar of events in Northern Ireland.
Already a worldwide phenomenon, Ciclovia is a health and community-based initiative which closes a part of the city to traffic, on a given day, for a specific period of time, giving cyclists the opportunity to ride through the traffic-free zone. Taking place on Sunday 4th October 2015 starting at 9am and finishing at 12:45am. The route from Botanic gardens to city hall will be completely traffic free and available for cyclists to travel up and down as many times as they like. The route will also be lined with entertainment, music and stalls for the whole family. Support for the event has come from the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Arder Carson who has praised the healthy initiative the event will push.
“[Ciclovia Belfast] ties in with our drive to make Belfast a healthier city by encouraging people to cycle or walk, and in addition at both the start and finish young and old can enjoy a host of free cultural, sporting and community events.”
